Celebrity MySpace Dating!
Everyone seems to be doing it these days, and I don't mean watching the OC show, which I personally can't stand ;) Yep, even celebrities are now using a certain cool website to date.
Guess how UFC champion Tim Ortiz met supermodel Jenna Jameson? Nope, not through another celebrity buddy. Jenna actually found Tim's MySpace page, posted a few comments about him, and soon they ended up emailing, and eventually dating, all because of MySpace!
"Jenna and I met [on] myspace.com. She requested me as a friend and I guess she's been a big fan of mine. She's been to a lot of my fights and so forth and we exchanged comments back and forth and e-mails; she said she was going to be at UFC 61 in July and we started talking. After the fight she came to my after-party, we had a few conversations, and we exchanged numbers and a couple of weeks later we went out on a date. It's been since Aug. 20 that we've been seeing each other."
Sure, its probably going to be tough to meet Jenna Jameson or Pamela Anderson, but it sure is a great way to meet cool people. For those of you that haven't read my free MySpace Dating Secrets ebook, you should definitely check it out. Who knows, perhaps Jenna took some of my advice? ;)

Match.com REALLY wants your membership...
Match.com just announced a website makeover. They have gone for a 'trendy' black color scheme, which isn't too bad I guess. They have also made one other major change. And I can't say its a good one!
Looks like the are going all out for new member sign ups - you can't even browse the search results without signing up for a free account! You see the results in the background, but you can't even click on profiles or navigate anywhere else without first joining. Very frustrating. This will surely annoy a lot of people, and also reduce the percentage of 'paying subscribers', and make worse my main gripe with them. This is the fact that when you email someone, it depeneds on whether the other person is a paid member as to whether they can reply or not. So potentially, you could find the person of your dreams profile, email me them an amazing email, and never hear back from them because they don't want to pay for membership. Crazy. I even called Match once to discuss this, and they seemed obvlious to this - someone is getting very obsessed with getting as many members as possible, rather than actually making the current members happy, which is terrible business sense if you ask me. I wouldn't be surprised if they change this mandatory sign up process... keep your eyes peeled!
